15 Best Mother’s Day Brunch Recipes
Mother’s day is coming up next Sunday and it’s a little disheartening to know that some people may not be able to celebrate Mother’s day with their Mom in person due to the current global pandemic of COVD-19 since we need to practice social distancing to stay safe. Most restaurants are closed for in-house dining so that leaves many of us without a place to go to take our Mom’s out for brunch (for those that still live with their moms). Fear not! We have compiled a list of our 15 Best Mother’s Day Brunch Recipes which you can make for your mom right in the comfort of your own home. A way to a woman’s heart is through their stomach 😉
1. Fluffiest Blueberry Pancakes
These pancakes are by far one of our best mother’s day brunch recipes. If you don’t have blueberries at home, you can still make this! This pancake recipe tastes great by itself and you can add whatever fruit toppings you want to it as well.
2. Fluffy & Crisp Buttermilk Waffles
Who doesn’t love a fluffy & crisp waffle for breakfast in the morning? Top this off with some fresh fruits and drizzle with some maple syrup for the perfect breakfast! If you want to get more savoury, pair it with some of our infamous Buttermilk Fried Chicken to get Chicken & Waffles for the perfect brunch dish!
3. Strawberry Scones
This Strawberry Scone recipe is jam packed full of strawberry flavour. If you don’t have strawberries at home, consider trying our Cheddar & Chive Scones recipe.
4. Banana Chocolate Chip Bread
This Banana Chocolate Chip Bread is by far my most favourite recipe. It produces a loaf so tender and soft, and the chocolate chip satisfies any sweet tooth. If you want this to be healthier, you can omit the chocolate chips.
5. Lemon Blueberry Loaf
This Lemon Blueberry Loaf is a great alternative to bread in the morning. It’s very light and tangy!
6. Earl Grey Shortbread
Who doesn’t love tea in the morning? Serve these Earl Grey Shortbreads alongside a cup of Earl Grey or English Breakfast tea to start off the day!
7. Moules-Frites
If you’re feeling fancy, try this Moules-Frites (Mussels with French Fries Recipe). Best part is you can serve it alongside a glass of white wine, which we use as part of the sauce to cook the mussels in!
8. Pasta Carbonara
Pasta Carbonara is a great brunch alternative. Yes, it can be a bit rich in the morning but it is super delicious and very easy to make!
9. Cream Puffs
These Cream Puffs filled with a Vanilla Pastry Cream is a great little dessert to end off your brunch. If you want to experiment, you can also make Cream Puffs with a Matcha Pastry Cream as well. This is also covered in our Cream Puffs post.
10. Apple Cinnamon Coffee Cake
This Apple Cinnamon Coffee Cake is one of my most popular recipes among my family and friends. It’s a very soft cake and the apple streusel topping adds a nice crunchy texture to the cake. This recipe is very versatile – if you’re not a fan of the Apple Cinnamon topping, you can top it with other fruits like sliced strawberries or blueberries!
11. Delicious Lemon Bars
For those of you who like sour foods, these Lemon Bars are a great treat to have at the end of Brunch.
12. Mixed Berry Pavlova
This Mixed Berry Pavlova is a beautiful dessert to serve at brunch which is sure to impress any moms. Best of all, it’s very easy to make! It is essentially meringue with whipped cream topped with your favourite fruits and berries.
13. Strawberry Panna Cotta
14. Japanese Condensed Milk Bread
This Japanese Condensed Milk Bread is this blog’s most popular recipe to date and we can see why. It looks like a piece of art with the intricate braiding but really there’s no fancy braiding involved! If you want a sweet bread in the morning, this is it!
15. Hojicha Creme Brulee
