Chocolate Dipped Pretzels – Valentine’s Day Treat

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! Whether you’re celebrating with a special someone today, having a Galentine’s day, or just want to treat yourself, we have the perfect easy treat for you 🙂

Chocolate Pretzel

This is a great last minute treat to make if you’re scrambling for ideas on what sweet treat to make for your Valentine today. You can either enjoy them yourself or package them up in a nice little treat box or cellophane baggies and give them out as gifts! Either way, you can’t go wrong.

Here are all the ingredients you’ll need:

  • Pretzels
  • White chocolate wafers (any white chocolate will do)
  • Pink chocolate wafers (optional)
  • Pink, red, and white sprinkles

First, melt your white chocolate and pink chocolate wafers in separate bowls. We microwaved ours in a microwave safe bowl in intervals of 30 minutes as to not risk burning the chocolate. After each interval, stir vigorously until the chocolate is fully melted.

Have a baking tray lined with wax paper ready. Then, take your pretzel and dip them halfway into the melted white chocolate. Allow the excess to drip off and ensure the pretzel is evenly covered with chocolate.

Then, dip them in your valentine sprinkles. It may be better to just spoon the sprinkles over the chocolate dipped pretzel as this will minimize the sprinkles from clumping as a result of the white chocolate.

Place them on the baking sheet with wax paper to cool. As an alternative design, instead of dipping the white chocolate pretzel into sprinkles, you can drizzle the melted pink chocolate onto it. I found using a zip lock bag with a small hole cut into the corner of the bag the easiest. Just practice a few times to make sure you get the consistency right. Once done, place the tray in the fridge to help the chocolate harden faster. Once hardened, you can enjoy 🙂
